Heart bracelet fundraiser
Date Posted: 02/22/2006

To recognize February as National Heart Month, Windber Medical Center (WMC) and the Windber Research Institute (WRI) kicked off a project to raise funds for research on cardiovascular disease at WRI.

"Windber artist Janet Cannon has designed our own unique hand-crafted bracelet with red and white Swarovski crystals and sterling silver in honor of heart month," says Vicki Meier, Executive Director, Foundations/Community Relations, Windber Medical Center.

Bracelets can be worn in support or in memory of a loved one affected by heart disease. Bracelets can be purchased for $15 by calling the Windber Foundation office at 467-3705 or by email: koleksa@conemaugh.org.

All funds raised will be used for ongoing cardiovascular disease research being conducted at Windber Research Institute.
